Welcome to our January Jam IV Tournament

We are hosting at Wichita Hoops located at 5260 Toler Dr, Bel Aire in the far NE corner of Wichita close to the intersection of Hwy 254 and Webb Road.  

Doors will open at 7:00am. Both the West and South doors will be open for you to enter.  There will be a $5 Spectators fee collected upon entering the tournament.  Coaches, please have your credentials visible at check in.  We will have extra lanyards if you are needing a lanyard for your HOA credentials if you need one. 

There will NOT be a coaches meeting prior to the start of Pool Play.  If your teams are scheduled to play or officiate at 8:00am, please have your teams courtside by 7:40am to be ready for coin flip and warm up. First whistle should be blown for serve at 8:00am.  Please keep the transitions betwen matches and sets moving.  As soon as the match finishes the officiating team must be at the table ready to set the warm up timer prior to calling for captains per HOA officiating guidelines.  

Spectators:  You may bring in limited food and drink with you for the day.  They have upgraded their full concessions and will be open from 8:00am until close of tournament.  You may bring in your own seating, however we will have limited bleacher seating available.  Please come prepared to pay a $5 spectator fee upon entering the tournament, venmo or cash will be accepted.   

12's Division has (6) teams.  Each pool will play (2) sets to 25 points starting 4v4.  At the conclusion of pool play the teams will be shuffled for a new cross pool play before a single elimination bracket play.  Please be prepared to possibly move courts after the first round of pool play.  This division will be played on courts 5 and 6. All teams advance to a single elimination bracket play with 1st and 2nd place being medaled. 

13's division has (8) teams and will be played on courts 9 and 10.  All teams will advance to a Gold and Silver single elimination bracket play following pool  play.  1st and 2nd in Gold and 1st in Silver will be awarded medals at the completion.  

14's division has (12) teams and will be played on courts 2, 3, and 4.  All teams will advance to a single elimination bracket play for Gold, Silver and Bronze.  1st and 2nd place teams in Gold, 1st place teams in Silver and Bronze will be awarded medals.  

15's have (7) teams in their division to be played on courts 11 and 12.  Top 6 will advance to a Gold  bracket following pool play.  1st and 2nd place will be awarded in the Gold division.

IMPORTANT ~  You MUST check back on Friday afternoon to make sure no changes have been made to your pool play schedule due to adds or drops during the week.  Thank you!

All Timed Warm-ups are 2-4-4 (2 shared, 4 minutes Serving Team; 4 minutes Receiving Team)

All match times are approximate. The first three matches will not start before scheduled time unless all 3 teams are there and ready to play.
After the 3rd match, next match warmups should start within 2 minutes of previous match.

All Players must complete & pay for 2023-24 HOA registration before playing.

Full day only tournament formats:

• 3 Team Pool Play: Three sets to 25. Beginning at 4-4, no cap.
• 4 Team Pool Play where all teams advance to playoffs: Two sets to 25. Beginning at 4-4, no cap.
• 4 Team Pool Play where not all teams advance to playoffs: Three sets to 25. Beginning at 4-4, no cap.
• 5 Team Pool Play: Two sets to 25. Beginning at 4-4, no cap.
• 6 Team Pool Play: Two sets to 25. Beginning at 4-4, no cap.
• 7 Team Pool Play: Two sets to 25. Beginning at 4-4, no cap.
• 9 Teams on 3 Courts: Two sets to 25. Beginning at 4-4, no cap.

Challenge Round and Playoffs will be two out of three sets. First two set to 25. Beginning at 4-4, no cap.
Third set, if necessary will be a 15 point with no cap.
During Playoffs the losing team is required to officiate the following match.
