WELCOME to the Super Bowl Weekend!!! We look forward to hosting your teams and families Super Bowl Slam tournament at the Wichita Sports Forum 14 court facility. The Forum is located in the Greenwich Shopping Center at 2668 N Greenwich Road. This Sunday The doors will be open at 7:00am for check in and spectator entrance. There will be a $5 spectator fee collected for spectatorrs over 5 years of age. Coaches please have your badges visible upon check in so the money takers won's ask you to pay. Please make changes to your rosters and sign them prior to going to your courts. Aviate Jump Park will have a day special for our families, please check at the concession stand or front desk for those rates. Please have your 8:00am teams courtside by 7:40 to start the 2-4-4- warm up and coin toss for captains. Please help us shorten the day for all to make it home for the big game by being at your court when it is your turn to officiate. Please remember the HOA officiating guidelines where it said the stop watch is to start timing the warmup IMMEDIATELY following the previous match, The only person not able to participate in the 2 minute shared passing is the captain as they are busy with the coin toss. If you wait to start the 2 minute shared passing stopwatch until AFTER the captain meeting you are adding minutes and close to an extra hour to your day. After everyone has had the opportunity to play one round then please lower the warm up time to 1-3-3. If someone feels they need more time then be respectful, however really how much more hitting and serving does a team need when they have been playing all day??? :-) You may bring in limited food and drink for the day. The Forum does have a new concession manager who has helped to upgrade their choices and service. You may bring in your own seating, however there will be limited bleachers at each courtside. We will have a Spill Station if you need rags or paper towels for spills please take only what you need....we will have a bucket and mop handy as well. If you would please monitor your drinks as there will be volleyballs flying through out the day. 11's (4) Teams will advance everyone to a single elimination Gold Bracket 12's (7) Teams, Top (6) teams will advance to a Gold and Silver bracket following pool play 14's (9) Teams will play one round of pool play followed by a crossover pool then all teams will advance to a Gold and Silver bracket following pool play. 16's (7) Teams will advance the top 6 teams to a single elimination Gold Bracket following pool play. 17's (8) Teams, all teams will advance to a Gold and Silver Bracket following pool play. **** Not to jinx anythign, but if all runs as smooth as I anticipate it running, we should be finished and everyone on the road home to watch the Super Bowl by 3:30/4 pm. All Timed Warm-ups are 2-4-4 (2 shared, 4 minutes Serving Team; 4 minutes Receiving Team) All match times are approximate. The first three matches will not start before scheduled time unless all 3 teams are there and ready to play. All Players must complete & pay for 2023-24 HOA registration before playing.
